Health Emergency Life Protection (HELP) Training Course

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue & The City of Sunny Isles Beach Present the Health Emergency Life Protection (HELP) Training Course.

This 2-hour workshop will teach participants to HELP save a life by learning how to recognize the most common life-threatening emergencies and begin medical care until more advanced care providers arrive.

The HELP course will give individuals the skills to take immediate action to help victims of medical emergencies while responders are on the way. The Health Emergency Life Protection (HELP) course teaches the lifesaving skills of, early stroke recognition, stopping the bleed, substance abuse/opioid overdose adult and pediatric hands-only CPR and blocked airway emergencies for adults, children, and infants. This course includes an interactive lecture and hands-on skills education to make it informational, applicable, and enjoyable for all attendees.

Note: This class provides an American Heart Association Family & Friends CPR certificate, and a course completion certificate from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. This course does NOT provide a Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification, as may be required for certain jobs or other activities. This is an awareness level course, NOT a certification level course. Due to the nature of the content discussed in this course, registration is limited to adults and children 13 years of age and older.
