Parks

Shortly after becoming a City in 1997, the City Commission purchased land and allocated funds for developing City parks. Some of that land was right on the Atlantic Ocean where they created an oceanfront park.

Parks provide spaces for people to laugh, to listen to a concert, and to dance with a partner. Parks are home to playground equipment, and City-organized recreational programs. Parks are for picnicking, romping, resting, and reading. Parks are for families and friends and birds.
