Upcoming Special Events

City of Sunny Isles Beach, Cultural & Human Services Department

The Cultural & Human Services department hosts events throughout the year, many of which are free. Here you will find a listing of the upcoming events, and any important information you should know in order to attend.

Family Movie Night, February 6th, 2010 – FREE
7:00pm, Town Center Park (17200 Collins Avenue)
Enjoy a movie under the stars with family and friends. Games & activities for the children prior to movie. Food is available for purchase. Bring your own chair or blanket. Reservations are not required. To find out the movie title, call 305.792.1706.

Sunny Serenade, February 17th, 2010 – FREE
7:30pm – 9:00pm, Samson Oceanfront Park (17425 Collins Avenue)
The city hosts the Sunny Serenade Concert Series from September thru May, at Samson Oceanfront Park, typically on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. These concerts are FREE and open to the public. The event includes live musical entertainment, and refreshments for sale. Parking is available along the north side of 174th Street, and the city shuttle bus will be running the special events schedule. To find out who’s performing, call 305.792.1706.

Four Seasons Cultural Series, March 10th, 2010 – An Evening of Russian Opera
7:00 – 9:00pm, Sunny Isles Beach Community School Auditorium
This cultural series will be presented quarterly to help make classical arts accessible for all ages in our community. This third installment of the series, in partnership with Florida International University, will present “An Evening of Russian Opera” with the Singers of The Lyric Orchestra. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Pelican Community Park, Community Center. Ticket price is $10.00 for residents, $15 for non-residents. Space is limited so register early!
