Another great course was very successful – CPR for Adults - just like all other programs offered to the city residents, free of charge, by the City of Sunny Isles Beach in cooperation with Mount Sinai Medical Center, such as monthly Blood Pressure/Cholesterol/Glucose Screening and Medical Lecture series in Sunny Isles Beach.

This interactive CPR class was held January 13 at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, and was taught by an excellent instructor from Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Catherine Torres, RN.

Basic CPR skills, choking prevention, key treatment of emergencies and rescue breathing techniques – those were the key topics of training. During the course, students had the opportunity to practice their new skills on special little dummies provided by the instructor. Upon the completion of the course all the participants received Heartsaver Cards from the American Heart Association.
