The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Miami Dade County DERM, and the South Florida Management District have been working together to update the Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the entire County.

In order to introduce these new maps to County residents, the above agencies have scheduled seven meetings that will be held throughout the County. These meetings are designed to provide residents with information relating to the new changes to the Flood Insurance Rate Maps in their area. Residents will be able to inquire about the old vs. new floodplain designations, ask questions, and know how these changes will directly affect them.
